How the Scandinavian decoration has shown up

Well, Scandinavia is the region locate in Northern Europe, formed by Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden, a large territory with hard winters. For this reason, the people stand a long time inside the home, that asks for a cozy and relaxed decoration, perfect for long staying, to receive visits and to enjoy pleasant moments in family.

In addition, the Scandinavians take an uncomplicated life, value the simple things and well-being above anything. Every this creates an own lifestyle, that reflects in their home decoration. This style, which values simplicity and comfort, has conquered the world and became a trend.

How the Scandinavian decoration is

A contemporary style, minimalist and, at the same time, comfortable. The Scandinavian decoration is so cozy that we have no will to get out, like a nest, where we feel protected and welcomed.

It explores the natural illumination, with big windows, slight curtains, and modern lamps. Neutral color palette (white, gray, black, and beige) and pastel tons, minimalist furniture with straight lines, clear wood, rugs, curtains, and sofas which are made with natural fabrics. Cushion and blanket cannot lack, especially those of maxi knitting, that add texture and are inviting. This style has a rustic touch, so the handmade pieces are very welcome.

Plants have ensured presence, make the ambient happy, and take nature into the home, besides adding a little color to the palette.

The functionality is also much valued. A Scandinavian home is practical and organized, there is no room for exaggerations and, much less, mess. Everything is clean, which get rise sensation of amplitude.

Watch here an example of a bedroom that I have decorated by following this style, this video is so good, because I teach a manner of transforming defect in a special component.

A trend that gained strength

This style of decoration gained more strength with the pandemic because all of us have been compelled to stay at home. We have realized that the richest of our lives is the contact with people that we love, and have a delightful home improve our well-being.

Below, there is a video of a hotel in Braga, Portugal, very interesting, they have kept the original frontage, but inside, it has been whole modified, observe how it is slight and casual.

Do you know what most get along with Scandinavian decoration? A tasteful food perfuming the house with its smells, and, at the sequence, a dinner in the family. Is there a better thing?
