Today, my purpose is to annoy you, in a good sense, of course! I want to provoke you to try new things, to amply your horizons, and leave the warming comfort, and throw yourself in something new. I am carioca (those who were born in Rio de Janeiro City), and I lived in Rio de Janeiro, working as a schoolteacher until the first change in my career has come, I have become a Lawyer. I had lived a happy life when I had to move on to S\u00e3o Paulo, right there I have become a mother in a full-time period for some years, then I have resolved to study a dedicate myself to my passion, to be an <em>designer de interiores. <\/em>Everything was beautiful until a turnaround has come\u2026<\/p>\n<p>And there I went to live in the USA, a new country, a new re-start of life, friends, and career.<\/p>\n<p>On a beautiful day, without much pretension, I decided to record a video on YouTube for friends, and it made a big success. They have started asking me more contents until it has come that cold in the belly again, and at 56-year-old I have become a<em> youtuber<\/em>. Everything was so cool. Slowly I have connected myself with amazing people, who have also helped me in my career as a <em>designer<\/em>, I have got new friends, and today I am here, on my <em>blog, <\/em>telling my history to you all.<\/p>\n<p>Have you got how many times I had to get out of my comfort zone? Every time I started again, I felt scared. The new always scare us, but I have never allowed it blocked me, each restarting I discovered new things, and my horizon opened more and more.<\/p>\n<p>Here in this video, I tell how YouTube got into my life and the good thing that this change afforded me.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tclFe380YHk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Why is so difficult to leave the comfort zone?<\/h2>\n<p>Because the comfort zone is safe, but it can stagnate us and make bad to us. Stand a work that does not fulfill us, an unhappy marriage, a life which is not what we dream, simply for fear of changing, will not take us to any place. Nevertheless, to turn the table and go to happiness, fills us, motivates, and makes each one of us, complete people.<\/p>\n<p>Friends, changing means to amply it. When I came to the USA, a new country, with people of culture so different from mine, with a distinct way of thinking, it was challenging, but little by little, I was getting new friendships that aggregated value and love to my life.<\/p>\n<p>When we open ourselves to an admirable new world, we expand our vision, and we start looking at that from a new perspective. It is a passage just of departure to our growth.<\/p>\n<h2>10 powerful questions for leaving the comfort zone<\/h2>\n<p>O <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andymolinsky.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andy Molinsky<\/a>, writer, professor, and Ph.D in Organization Behavior and M.A. in Psychology by Harvard University, says that getting out of the comfort zone is fundamental to learning and growth. According to him, for this to happen is necessary to get little steps, for example, instead of making a presentation to the company board of director, start with a presentation to your colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>Molisnky has developed an exercise to help those who want to get out of their comfort zone and start the first steps. They are 10 powerful questions that will make you reflect about.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing to do is to think in a situation, something that is truly difficult for you. Something that will get you out of your comfort zone. After, answer these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>What\u2019s my doomsday version of this situation? In other words, what\u2019s the absolute worst that could happen?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>If I\u2019m being honest with myself, how likely is this doomsday scenario?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>What\u2019s my dream version of how this situation unfolds? In other words, if everything were absolutely perfect, what will that look like?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>Again, if I\u2019m being honest with myself, how likely is this dream scenario?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>What\u2019s the most realistic version of how this situation unfolds?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>If I\u2019m being honest with myself, how likely is this realistic version?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>If I didn\u2019t experience any anxiety at all in this situation\u2014 if it were completely stress free \u2014 would it be something I\u2019d like to try?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>And if it is stressful (at least at first) can I live with that?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>Most of us are good at rationalizing why things we fear aren\u2019t worth doing. But can I brainstorm why this particular behavior I\u2019m thinking about is actually worth it?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>What\u2019s now stopping me from trying this behavior?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.andymolinsky.com\/download-10-powerful-questions-for-stepping-outside-your-comfort-zone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Free-book 10 questions<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These questions take us to think in a rational way about the reasons for getting out of our comfort zone, and how we will deal with this change. It can be hard to get the first step, but, gradually, the universe gets putting the right people in our way, the thing gets flowing and everything connects itself. It is a movement without return in Search of happiness.<\/p>\n<p>I have looked for being happy and I convinced that is for this reason we are here. We need living plenty, with abundance, generosity, and gratitude.
